Western Region
What is a Western Region Umpire Outreach?
During the year, Outreach Clinics are available and provided throughout every state in the Western Region. Every aspect of training is available upon request to the Western Regional Headquarters in San Bernardino. When requested, the Regional Instructional Staff will provide training at local sites throughout the region. 2012 will be the third year that District 8 & 15 have hosted a Regional Umpire Outreach.

Who is allowed to come?
Any person who is currently a Little League umpire or those desiring to become Little League umpires. You must be at least 13 years old. This clinic is not restricted to just District 8 & 15 umpires. We have had Little League umpires as far away as Oregon come to this outreach.
How much does it cost?
Nothing, nada, zilch. Steve Christman and Jeff Frese believe (strongly) that this clinic will always be free to the Little League community. We will pass the hat around this year to see if some want to donate to help recoup some of the costs of the clinic, but no one is obligated to give anything.

What do I need to bring?
Please bring all of your plate equipment (indicator, mask, chest protector, shin guards and protective cup), if you have these items. If you do not have these items, please do not let that stop you from coming. We will borrow or bring spare equipment. Part of the clinic involves taking pitches in the batting cages. For this portion of the clinic, you must wear a protective cup. Lunch will be provided on Saturday & Sunday.

What are the dates & times of the clinic?
Friday night (March 2): 6 PM - 9 PM (indoors)
Saturday (March 3): 9 AM - 5 PM
Sunday (March 4): 9 AM - 4 PM

These times are subject to change

What if it rains?
We have secured a gymnasium type facility on site and will continue with the clinic.
